“Salone del Mobile 2022”: more than 2.000 exhibitors to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Design Fair
The 60th Anniversary of the Fair taking place in the worldwide Design Capital deserved the most appropriate showcase: the 2022 Salone del Mobile, located in the Rho Fair exhibition space from June 7th to 12th, together with the Milan Design Week and Fuorisalone widespread events, registered more the 2.000 participating exhibitors. The exhibition was located within more than 200.000 square meters space. 2022 edition marked the return of physical presence of the public at large, both Italian and international, in continuity with 2019 edition. It was further enhanced with digital contents developed and refined in 2020 and 2021.
A 3 yearlong lasted event celebrating its 60th Anniversary by showing Made in Italy at best through new shapes directly connected to design and living trends focused on sustainability and new ways of experiencing the home living.
Calia Italia has been protagonist, by celebrating their 57 years that led the registration in the ‘UIBM Special Register of Historical Brands of National Relevance’. The brand exhibition has been developed in a graphically renewed space, specifically designed, and developed to tell the story of brand novelties as well as best sellers at their best.
A project focused on highlighting Made in Matera interpretation of the Design Week trends in a coherent balance between the physical exhibition within the Stand and the digital “spaces” of the official website and social media of the brand.

‘Gourmand’ novelties: the story of 2022 Milan International Furniture Show by Calia Italia restarts form 2021 Supersalone that saw the introduction of the “most delicious” collection of the brand, the Gourmandise Collection.
Inspired by the chocolateries world, the collection further exalted its delicacy thanks to new versions and upholsteries.
The best seller of the collection, the Dragées, was one of the most relevant novelties as well, thanks to the new corner versions, with its generous, plump as well as light shapes. Designed in the round, it is perfect for the centre of the room. Characterised by the considerable width of the corner version and versatile for any composition, your space is shaped, and the result is full comfort.
360° Functionality: the new trends in the home living must satisfy the need to combine style and functionality at their best. The new Calia Italia Sofa beds collection has been developed to respond to it, having the Dafne as the main reference within the offer, a must have for people who wants a contemporary sofa with a touch of style. Born from the pencil of Daniele della Porta and with the name inspired by the nymph who preferred to turn herself into a laurel plant rather than give in to unwanted love. It is a sofa with a modern design and sinuous, rounded lines capable of changing appearance without – from sofa to bed – giving in to compromise. During the day ‘Dafne’ is a comfortable place to spend hours in perfect relaxation, while at night, with a few simple movements, the ‘Dafne’ sofa transforms into a cosy bed with a comfortable mattress made by 13 cm height polyurethane.

A young product for young at heart customers highlighted also by the exclusive 3D fabric, colourful and modern, the perfect fit for the stylish urban living spaces. Daisy is available as 2 and half seater, 3-seater couches which can be combined with modular elements to create cornering as well as linear compositions to satisfy all living spaces needs.
Regal_e. closes the “tour” of Calia Italia novelties. Imposing, soft and with sinuous contours. A sofa that takes us back to the 1970s whilst also projecting us into the future thanks to its versatile modularity for a high level of comfort, ensured by the presence of electric and manual mechanisms including the manually raised backrests and the electrically retractable leg-rests. Regal_e is available in leather, fabric and microfibre upholsteries.
