As is the case every year, the eternal charm of Paris will be the setting for one of the most prestigious international trade fairs, ‘EspritMeuble’, held at Porte de Versailles. Calia Italia returns for the 2023 edition to present some of its top models selected from our different collections dedicated to sofas and armchairs. More than 40,000 square metres of exhibition space will allow all the companies present at ‘EspritMeuble’ to display their models for sleeping areas, kitchens, decorations and home interior.
So what has Calia Italia chosen for this 2023 edition? To praise the refinement and sophisticated taste typical of France we have ‘Regal_e’. Thanks to an imposing yet welcoming design with manually liftable backrests and electric leg-rests with an ‘ultra-slim’ design, this model takes us back to the 1970s as well as projecting us into the contemporary.
The best technological solutions also feature in other models such as ‘Alba’, a sofa from the Premium collection that makes its tilting mechanisms its strong point, giving the possibility of increasing the depth of the seat.
The same comfort is also guaranteed by another model that will be arriving in Paris, the ‘Sommier’ modular sofa. This sofa can modify the seat both in terms of width and depth and adjust the backrest and headrest through internal mechanisms. But that’s not all, because thanks to its generous, elegantly quilted cushions, the ‘Sommier’ represents the ultimate in terms of relaxation.
Another exponent of our ‘Modular Collection’ is ‘Banjo’, a modern idea of an extremely versatile sofa, able to adapt perfectly to any living room by customising the compositions.
Finally, we have the ‘Boero’ sofa, created as a natural evolution of the ‘Gianduiotto’ model, of which it retains the ‘tray’ design on which the feet rest. However, thanks to the internal mechanisms it is possible to customise the seat, armrest, backrest and headrest. This versatile sofa is also available in a corner and chaise-longe version.
Calia Italia has also chosen to present some of its most beautiful armchairs, starting with Vivì, an evolution of the ‘Giuggiola’, whose seat retains the distinctive feature of a tail base reminiscent of the train of an evening dress.
There will also be ‘Jacob’, the soft upholstered armchair inspired by the style of bergère reading chairs, reinterpreted according to Calia Italia design. Finally there will be ‘Silla’, an armchair with a bold and innovative design that recalls the shape of a chair.
Last but not least, we have a sofa whose name recalls Paris and France: ‘Aplomb’. This model is perfect for contemporary bourgeois living and is able to go from being a cosy place for formal occasions to an intimate place for one’s moments of relaxation. Elegant and versatile, ‘Aplomb’ is also characterised by an embroidered seam on the perimeter of the structure, with a deep seat, where one can relax, sleep, converse or even work.
The date is set for 18 to 21 November in Paris, where Calia Italia presents the best of its catalogue to visitors from all corners of the world.
